Export check register to Excel
I want to export my check register into an Excel workbook. I've tried to transfer, use Portable file, Print to and none of these work. Any suggestions?

If you run a quick report on that account, you can export the report to excel. . .will this give you what you need?

When I try to run a QuickReport to export the checkbook transactions to Excel I get a message Can't generate a QuickReport without a name. How do I go about naming it so I can run it?
Go to lists>chart of accounts. Right click on the bank account and choose quickreport.
You should see the export button at the top.
Be sure to click on the modify tab to customize your report. You can add and eliminate columns etc.
Perhaps you won't need to export after all.
I go to chart of accounts, I right-click on the checking account, I select on QuickReport ... and nothing shows up. I change the dates, and still nothing.
Do you have more than one checking account listed in the chart of accounts?
Also, check that when you pay bills, receive payments and/or write checks that you have the bank account correctly linked.
For example, in pay bills, you will see the bank account showing bottom right. In write checks, you will see the bank account showing at top left.
Go to Edit menu and choose Preferences, then choose checking. Double check that you have the correct bank account linked to the tasks listed there.
