Where are you located? You may want to create items in the item list and direct such items to the proper account (income, expenses, etc). At first this is difficult, but as soon as you get used to it, it becomes very easy.

I am well versed in the hospitality/event idustry. Where are you located. I know this industry is a very different animal and takes a unique type of accountant

I am in MN but can still help you using my logmein acct. Is this an ongoiing bookkeeping need or just getting your database, chart of accts, etc setup? If the later is the case, you can send your database to me and I am more than willing to help you set it up.
I tend to make things very easy for anyone to enter as I am used tot his industry and the accts needed. I also provide indtructions if needed.
