How do I report unreimbused business expenses, including home office, for members of an LLC on there personal return. I put the business expenses on Sch C to offset the LLC SE income, but it won't let me add the home office since the Sch C is a loss.
There's a quickzoom at the top of the K-1 worksheet where you enter/import the K-1 from the LLC 1065 return for unreimbursed expenses.
I assume the LLC is a partnership. The SE income cannot be reduced. The business expenses do NOT go on a Scedule C. They are reported on the supplemental expense worksheet for the
K-1. This will reduce the net profit that is reported on the K-1 but will not effect SE income. The home office expenses are reported on 2106 home office worksheet.
