error code 00000 55554

Identifying root cause on error codes can be tricky and the more information you can provide that better. Info that would help...

1) What exactly are you doing at the time of the error?

2) Does it only error when using certain customers, or items etc

3) If you have multiple users, do they all encounter this? does it happen on multiple computers?

This is occurring as I attempt to change sales orders and invoices. It happens on one item I have changed.

The original sales orders and invoices contained an item. The item needed to have its Cost of Goods category changed. I did not want to go back in time to incorpoarte this change, only future transactions so I had to make a new item, sinliar to the old, but with the COG account modified (this is an irksome detail of Qkbk).

I then changed the 2009 sales orders and invoices that contained the new/old itme. Of course, paymnets had been made against the invoices but I clicked "OK" anyway.

When I try to also include a new price on the aformentioned invoices, that is when this error occurs. I also receive error code 14750 30582.

I believe the above puts me into a circular logic loop. In order to change the invoice, I must modify the payment but I cannot modify the payment until I modify the deposit but I cannot modify the deposit until I modify the payment (or so the program says).

I have a 5 user version of Qkbk. The main program is on our server and 5 of us are networked in. Two other coworkers/copies of Qkbk also had the same error codes as they attempted the above modifications.

I have seen this caused by print driver problems in QuickBooks.

To resolve, find the qbprint.qbp file and delete it

From the quickbooks directory run install.exe ( this reinstalls the amyuni diriver)

goto the control panel- printers - rename the amyuni print to "Intuit Internal Printer"

This has fixed the error in the past
