Hello, I need some help in working around this error, I cannot get into the program to print some old returns. We don't use ProSeries anymore, just for this one year - please tell me how to get rid of this message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and my network drives seem to match. Any suggestions?
I don't know whether this will help or not, but have you considered installing the PS TY02 program onto a standalone computer such as a laptop rather than your networked computers? It looks as though the problem is network-oriented so installing on a standalone computer might solve the problem. You could then dump the returns you need to print onto a USB drive (from the ProWin02\02Data directory), copy them to the standalone computer, and print them there either to a hardcopy or to PDF's. That might work.
As a last resort, another option would be to email the files to someone with a functioning copy of ProSeries TY02 installed, and have that company print the returns for you as PDFs, then email them back to you. I would be willing to do that for you, but it would require that you email copies of clients' returns to an "outsider" and you may not wish to do that. Or you may know someone locally who still has the software installed. I think the standalone option would work though.
