Question: How do I resolve the following error when updating QuickBooks?
Error 12007
Answer: To resolve this error, check the following:
Internet Connection
Check your Internet connection outside of QuickBooks. Sign on to the Web and browse to any Web site. If you are having problems connecting, consult your Internet Service Provider or system administrator for further assistance.*
If you are using a dial up connection, your minimum connection speed should be 28.8 kbps.*
If you are using America Online, make sure your login or screen name does not have Parental Controls enabled. If possible, log in with the master login. For more information see AOL?s online support.
Personal Firewall Software
If your Internet connection is working, check to see if you have a personal firewall software, such as BlackICETM or Norton Internet SecurityTM, installed on your system. Make sure that it is configured to allow QuickBooks to update.*
Check that the two QuickBooks files listed below are configured correctly in your firewall software to allow the update to download:qbw32.exe: the QuickBooks executable file
qbdagent2002.exe or qbupdate.exe: the QuickBooks Delivery Agent module
Also, check that port 80 (needed for Internet access) is not disabled. Refer to your firewall software documentation for instructions on how to adjust the settings (including port 80 settings) to allow QuickBooks to update.
I get the following error:
The instruction at "0x00401223" referenced memory at"0x05200e6c" The memory could not read.
Has any one else had this problem and what is the solution. I can't get to my database. Please I need to access my files. Thanks
