Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Open the check, the click on the drop-down list in the upper left to choose the correct account.

I'm sorry, I though Online was the same as the desktop versions in that respect.  In desktop versions, you see a drop-down box that has a list of bank accounts and you can switch from one to the other.  If you don't see that anywhere, you may have to delete the check and recreate it, or maybe someone with Online experience will post a solution.

Sorry I wasn't able to help.

I think the drop down list would work for a regular check, but this check happens to be a payroll check which doesn't have a drop down list and I didn't want to have to delete several payroll checks.  But thanks anyway

In QuickBooks Online the bank account selection will be at the top left of the check.  If you select that field and you're not able to see the available bank accounts, try typing in the correct name instead.  There's a preference that will determine whether you see all the drop down options or whether you start typing out the information instead.

Feel free to ask additional questions if needed.  Have a wonderful day!

Sherrie

Payroll checks are different, you won't see the option to change the bank account.  I'm going to transfer your question to our payroll forum so you can receive help specific to payroll.

Thanks,

Sherrie
