Hi, first id like to make sure i understand the issue properly - In Quickbooks you have a USD bank account (Home currency USD) and a foreign bank account (for ex. EUR). You need to pay your Employee from the foreign bank account (EUR) but credit them in EUR/USD?
Think I have a similar problem but I can't get the my foreign account to show my the balance in that foreign currency. I have one company file and I want to set up two accounts. One account is a local currency account and the other is a foreign currency account (Euro) What I want to see in each bank account the balance as it is in the designated currency or in it's own currency that one in my local currency (which is XCD) and the other in the foreign currency (Euros)
For some reason QB is coverting my foreign bank account balance to the local currency and I really don't want that.
Maybe you can give me some insight as to how you got your two accounts to show one in your local currency (US) and the other in the foreign currency of Euro.
Thank you
Jasmine

QB is coverting the foreign account to the local currency.
Maybe you can give me some insight as to how you were able to set up your foreign account and local accounts.
I await your response.
Just use Journal General Form for employee transaction other than home currency.
