Emailed invoices not received.

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2008

My client has been emailing invoices for years. QB 2008 latest release. Now even though QB says they have been sent, his customer are not receiving?

Are some of the emailed invoices going through or none of them? Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express instead of the QB email server? This just became available in the last couple of years.

Per CCRussell (who is more technical than I am--Thanks Charlie!): The most typical problem is a firewall interfering with Internet access (something like Norton Internet Security, or similar). My first step in debugging these things (without knowing what the error message is) is to turn the firewall off temporarily. Do that with caution.

There is no receipt confirmation option - and those aren't very worthwhile anyway, since the recipient has the option of turning that feature off in most email systems. What you can do is add your own email address in the "bcc" field, so at least you know that it was sent out.

Client is using the QB mail server. He is not getting any error message. QB says that the invoices have been sent. But none of his clients are receiving them. I have not asked him if he has changed his security settings.

Can you try these steps:

Check if you are able to save invoices or any other documents as a pdf.

then,check if you have an internet connection inside quickbooks.

And if you are able to send emails outside quickbooks,and if they are received by the recipients.

 

If all above are present:then call quickbooks tech support and youll be directed to online business solutions.They will check youre account..
