The best way is to install a pdf printer (there are many free pdf printers available online if you do not have one). Print the invoice(s) to the pdf printer, which will subsequently create a pdf file that you can save and attach to an email to send to your customers.
When you say there are free PDF printers are you talking about printer drivers or a printer?
Sorry, I'm referring to printer drivers. Once you install one, you will be able to print to a pdf file.
