Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Feeling better now? While I can understand your frustrations with the costs associated with ProSeries, and the functionality of some of the program, a wee bit of patience may be in order. Have you gone to the PA website to determine if they are delaying their reciept of individual returns to a later date? The filing season for IRS just opened on the 16th, it was the 11th in years earlier, and possibly the State has not yet completed their requirements to be able to accept electronic returns. In the alternative, have you contacted Technical Support and requested their input and assistance. SSBT along with the other RAL providers and the Finance World in general have all increased their fee schedules. Over 38% of the banks income on an annual basis come from these "fees". Patience again, Congress in all their wisdom has addressed this, however it is about 18 months out there for us poor consumers! The past Administration has made some material mis-steps on the Domestic front, and it is not going away overnight. We consumers do have some leverage though, we can choose to solicit and patronize the other offerings and other entities. There is more than one game in town, and this ain't your first rodeo, so take some time, do a little research, ask for the archives of their last years offerings, or wait and get the current year after the season ends, and ask about the conversion process, and then give them a test drive. ATX, Tax Cut, Lacerte, ect. Find one that is most user friendly and that you can interface with, and spread the joy around! Remember, they only exsist with us, for without us, where is the need? We have adbicated the power and authority to them for so long now, it's like pulling a mad tigers teeth to regain our lost grounds. We can and we will prevail, although I can't imagine going back to the old school method of Forms, Caculator, Pencil, Eraser, and hand writing and mailing returns. Back to the future? Give the PA website a look, and try Technical Support, and do a daily download of latest and greatest, and soon you wil be absolved of these issues. Write back and let us know how you are fairing soon. And look at your half full glass..........it's still there.
