Lacete cannot efile NYC extensions. Even though much less expensive soft programs can efile.

Lacerte does not currently support the ability to make electronic payments for any balances due with New York City extensions. However, we have been working closely with the NYC agency and have received information that Lacerte customers will be able to paper file the 2010 NYC extension with the necessary payment without penalty.
If your clients would still prefer to make an electronic payment along with a NYC extension, the taxpayer will need to create an account and make an electronic payment with the New York City Department of Revenue at the NYC Finance web portal: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dof/ht....
