Good Evening,
If you click on the "company" drop down menu at the top of QuickBooks, you will see an option to select "company info". Select that and update any company information from there. Please post a reply if you have any further questions regarding this.

I did the drop down on "company" but there was not a "company info" to choose from. now what? I just need to change the name of "legal company name"

If you are using Pro, there is a company at the top of the icon bar>company information is on the drop down list when you select company.
