Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

edit 1099 dollar amount

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2010

I have a 1099 that a check issued in october is not registering on their 1099 report. I have gone through everything....it is in their 1099 reporting as far as their register of payments.....it was processed and shows in banking register...  How can I either edit her 1099 or what else should I look at as to why the payment is not carrying over and showing in her 1099.

What account was used for the check? If this was recorded against an expense account, then that expense account is probably not mapped to a 1099 box. If it was recorded against a bill, then the expense used on the bill probably needs to be mapped to a 1099 box. I think there's also an issue where a payment against a bill will show up for 1099s only if you use the QuickBooks "pay bill" user interface (using "write check" seems to NOT be reflected for 1099s). If you've used a general journal entry to record the payment, then make sure to specify the vendor name on the line of the journal entry that has the 1099-mapped account.

In case you don't know how to map accounts to 1099 boxes, this is done from Edit > Preferences > Tax:1099 > Company Preferences. If you need to map multiple accounts to the same 1099 box, then scroll to the top of the drop-down account list and select the "multiple accounts" option.

One last possibility is that the total payments for this vendor do not meet the filing threshold for a 1099. The threshold amounts are on the same screen where you do the account mapping.
