My EDD tax payment isn't being processed through QB's. It just says submitted and it's been that way since 03/21/11. I voided the payment and processed it again. Again it's just submitted and doesn't finish processing. This hasn't ever happened before. Now the payment is late.
I've been having the same problem with my clients. Payments show as submitted to agency, but nothing ever happens. I'm also having problems with payments being rejected. A payment wil be submitted and rejected after the due date with a reason that doesn't make sense. For example, I submitted a payment on 3/29/11 with a withdraw date of 4/1/11 and got a rejected email on 4/3/11 stating that I cannot make payments with a withdraw date on the same day as I submit. It doesn't make sense.
Either EDD or Quickbooks has updated something and it is not right. I'n the last 3 years I've never had a rejected payment for my clients, but since about 3/15/11 I've had about 5. Also, I used to get a confirmation email right away. Now it takes weeks and most of the time its after the due date of the tax payment.
Would like to know if others are having a similar problem. Would also like to get some response from Quickbooks as to why this is happening.
I've never had any problems either before this last time. My 2nd attempt didn't seem like it was going through either and I didn't receive a confirmation. I voided it also and just went to the online EDD site and processed the payment the old fashion way. ALL 3 ATTEMPTS were debited from our account. What a mess now, especially since it's the end of the quarter. I'm not happy at all about this.
UPDATE:
I called Quickbooks EFT/Efile support and was told that EDD changed reporting requirements and did not inform Quickbooks. The rep said, after speaking with a supervisor, I should make all EDD tax payments directly with EDD and not through Quickbooks until the problem is resolved.
IMO, that is a huge feature that has been disabled from Quickbooks. It's already been 3 weeks with this problem, so I'm not sure how long this will last.
This week I had no problems. I did use today's date on the check and Wednesday as my debit date. Before I'd use the debit date for both.
