E-mailing Invoices Problem - today 3/12/09

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2006

We have emailed invoices to our clients in the past (and also send a copy to ourselves), but today, QBs showed emails went on line. However, we did not receive a copy of the emails. I sent a seperate test email, and still have not received that also. I thought it was our e-mail address that had a problem, but we can send to and from that e-mail address just fine. Help!

I am having the same problem. I always send a confirmation copy back to myself and nothing has come through today. My vendors say they have not received any POs from me today. I have to go back to yesterday to see if all of those invoice, PO and Order Confirmations went through. This is the first time I have experienced this problem. I tried rebooting and that did nothing. There is no warnings or flags whenever I send an e-mail. My thought is that QB is having server problems of some sort.

I am seeing quite some volume on this issue. It seems like Intuit email servers may have some problems today. I will report the issue to Intuit and ask them to take care of it ASAP. In a mean time I will provide you with the work-around. Save the invoices as PDF files, and email them as attachments through your regular email program

It's the next day, and I sent a test e-mail to myself. We received our test and were able to send out the rest of our invoices by e-mail. Everything seems to be working now!

Intuit had some internal problems with the QuickBooks email functionality. It seems to be fixed now.

I've spent about three hours with QB support, and ultimately it resulted in a complete reinstall of QB 2009. Not only can I not send invoices via either email OR have QB mail a hardcopy, I also can no longer process credit cards. And attempting either causes QB to crash from an unrecoverable error.

The result of the call was my being told there was "something wrong with the software" and it was being turned over to the development team for repair and further investigation: CASE ID 1-2775473742.
