Downloading Amex into Quickbooks?
How do I download my American express monthly statement into QB? Do all transactions go into the account and what if some have already been entered? Thanks

Banking>Online Banking Setup then follow instructions. As I recall this process is uncharacteristically intuitive. Once set up Banking>Downloaded Transactions (or click on the Online Banking icon in the toolbar). Select AMEX from the drop down list. This should automatically download transactions and bring up your AMEX register. You'll then have opportunity to "Add Transaction" if you like, or delete it from the downloaded transactions window.
Assume using MAC 2010. I didn't try this on earlier versions.

I called QB and a tech guy fixed it, but then once I got off the phone and tried to do what you suggested ie use the dropdown menu, once again it didn't work for either Amex or BofA...??
