Does QuickBooks OnLine work for Restaurant program?

I have used QBOE formerly but the industry was advertising and now I am attempting to adapt it to the ins and outs of Restaurant bookkeeping. Does anyone out there have experience with this? I also hope the banking situation improves very soon. What a gigantic help to be able to import Bank statements!!

Hi hllywd!
You certainly can download your bank statements now, and I know there are restaurant owners out there using OE, so hopefully, they'll pipe in with tips.
In order to connect QuickBooks Online Edition (QBOE) with your bank or credit card account, you need to know your Login ID and Password to your bank or credit card's online access, and have accessed it at least once in the past 30 days.
Additionally, if you have not yet set up your checking or credit card account in QBOE (the one into which you wish to download transactions), please do so before proceeding.
From the Banking menu, select Online Banking Center.  If you don't see the Online Banking Center contact Support to get enable for this feature.
Click Setup Connections, and then click Next.
In Field 1, enter your bank or credit card name, and then click Search.
Once you have found it, select it in Field  2, and then click Next.
Enter your bank or credit card Login ID and Password, and then click Next.
From the column on the right, select the bank or credit card account you created from the pull-down list, and then click Save.
Click Next. Select 30 days, and then click Next.
On page 8 or 9, choose either to manually match or have QBOE do it for you. To begin, we recommend selecting I will manually match and add. (As the system learns your matching logic, you'll be able to switch to the auto-matching option.)
Click Finish.
Hope this information is helpful!
Aimee, QBOE :)
