No. WA L&I is insurance that is mandatory and the amount contributed by either the employee or company is not shown on the W-2.
QB does not have a way to handle WA state's L&I either...the Worker's Comp will not work. You can set up the payroll items either as "other tax" (if each EE will only have one rate) or individually as "Deduction" and "Company Contribution" (If each EE will have multiple rates on one paycheck). Set all up to calculate by hours.
Last year I was told by my accountant that the Employee paid portion of L&I is an employee paid insurance and that it is deductible on Federal Taxes therefore should be reported in box 12 of the W-2. I am not an accountant and had never heard this before so check it out with your accountant and let us know here.
