We are a small church. And do not have to create invoices Do I really need quickbooks?

You will need to record income and expenses. Plus, balancing bank accounts is simple with QuickBooks. Keeping track of church member donations is important for providing year end donation reports to donors. Many churches have separate "funds" for tracking special projects. You can record the monies going into & out of those "fund accounts" for a balance. Wages paid to clergy can be calculated and/or recorded after the fact into QuickBooks for W-2 and payroll reports.
