DMS - Class not registered
DMS returns "Class not registered" when I try to open pdf files with the new version 5.00.1726.

Not sure if you ever resolved this... it's been awhile. I discovered that if your using Vista, you need to turn off DEP, Data Excution Protection before you install the DMS. Everything gets registered properly then.

I had the same problem when I restored DMS onto my laptop computer. I downloaded DMS from Lacerte and reinstalled it and the error message went away.

Just wanted to concur with Ken: on my win2k3 server, I had to uninstall DMS, turn off DEP (right-click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance Options Settings > Data Execution Prevention tab), and then re-install DMS. Once DMS is re-installed you can re-enable DEP and it won't interfere with DMS launching from Word 07.
