DMS 9.1 upgrade?

ProSeries : 2011

I just upgraded to DMS 9.1, and now when I save a return in dms as a pdf and then open it with adobe acrobat X, i get the follwing error "the font 'helveticnarrow' contains a bad box/BBOX". The pdf has alot of gibberish characters. Is this a dms issue and how do I fix it.

I have not upgraded to 9.1 yet, but every time DMS upgrades I have a problem with the printer driver.

This has worked for me in the past to clear up gibberish/symbol printing in a file instead of proper characters:

I have had this problem whenever DMS upgardes.  You probably need to set the Printer Preferences for the DMS PDF Printer driver.

Assuming Windows 7--

Start> Devices and Printers>DMS PDF Printer

<right mouse click> Printing Preferences>PDF Options

check the boxes for Font embedding  and Partial font embedding

click OK

Reboot computer.  (must do this to use revised driver)

This is what works for me.  Try printing a document and see if document is correct.

I tried your suggestion, I didn't completely solve the problem, the amount of "gibberish" is down to a minimum.  I still get an Adobe X error "The font Helvetica-Narrow contains a bad/BBOX" when loading the PDF.

It sounds like you have a bad font install on your computer.  Have you called Intuit Tech support?

My only other suggestions are -

1. Try also checking the box to embed standard fonts (this generally means bigger pdf files though)

2. Uninstall and reinstall both Adobe and DMS to see if that clears up the font issue
