Disabling Online Services Prompt

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

The prompt forcing me to create an unwanted and never to be used on line account was bad enough. (I know, I am using one of the services now, please note, my only reason for using the service is to aquire instruction for disabling it). Now I am prompted when opening a company file (I have 87 of them) to not forget to use the on line services. How do I permanently disable this annoying popup ad? Am I to understand that I will have to click "ask me later" or close the dialogue box FOREVER with no way to disable? Maybe I have outgrown this increasingly childish product.

Mine stopped doing that. I don't know which of these things worked, because I did them all at the same time. Running QB Premier 2009 on XP Pro. I don't like things connecting to internet and downloading on their own. I also don't use online banking or sync QuickBooks with any other program or computer.

I turned off automatic updates and unchecked show Live Community in desktop view preferences.

Closed QuickBooks and opened task manager and shut down any QuickBooks service that was running.

Went to Administrative Tools, Services, and stopped and disabled Intuit QuickBooks FCS and QBCF Monitor Service.

Used msconfig--startup tab and unchecked QuickBooks Update Agent, Intuit SyncManager, and a blank entry that I know it added because I hadn't installed anything else. Rebooted computer.

I know I'll have to reenable the services if I want to check for updates, or sync anything, but until I have a problem, i'm leaving it like this.
