Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

US Desktop Payroll

I am going to start paying our employees by direct deposit through the bank. Is there some way to handle this recordkeeping in QB or will we have to run our payroll as normal , print checks and mark them non-negotiable? We do our PR and reporting.

So are you wanting to set up direct deposit in quickbooks for your employees?

Yes, but not to interface directly with the bank where I have to enter net payroll amounts by hand.  If possible, I would like to identify which employees have direct deposit and be able to print a check stub, rather than a check, for them and then generate a report that would detail the net amounts that I could enter into the bank's system.

There is possibly a better way to go about this but I am not an experienced enough user to know.  I would appreciate any help you can offer.
