I just purchased quickbooks pro and downloaded Jan-March bank statements is it to late to enter back dated invoices and payments that are already in the bank statement without messing up my register? Do I need to start over? I need to put the invoices and payments in.
You have the deposit, but no invoice/payment to apply it to. If you know QB well, then you may be able to go in and apply things and clean it up. But, since it is only a few months, you may want to go ahead and start over--it may be quicker and cleaner for you.
Always back up before you download transactions from the bank.
