Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Date Formula help

Intuit Websites

These are my fields:

due date

urgent request (checkbox)

Additional time (checkbox)

date of letter

date of request

what I need is a formula in the due date that states something like this: if urgent request = true then date of request + 2 days or if additional time = true then date of letter + 14 days else date of request + 14 days

Is this possible?  Can we have an Or statement with an If statement?

Solved!

The solution

Try this

if(

[urgent request]=true, [date of request]+Days(2),

[additional time]=true, [date of letter]+days(14), [date of request]+days(14)

)

If you want to use just weekdays (ie 2 working days or 2 weeks), then  you could use

if(

[urgent request]=true, weekdayadd([date of request],2),

[additional time]=true, weekdayadd([date of letter],10),

  weekdayadd([date of request],10)

)

Just in case your users don't work on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you!  we don't work weekends but unfortuntely that doesnt change our due dates.  What I did is have the due date show the day of the week so my team will know that if day 14 is on the weekend they better get it done on Friday :)
