Data protection general question
Will Intuit Data Protect only backup Quickbooks? I have my POS database installed on the same workstation but it is not being backed up. I would think it would backup any Quickbooks product. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for posting your question, TheMasonJar .
While Intuit Data Protect will autoscan your system for your QuickBooks files, it will backup any files contained with any local folders you select.
It will back up anything and everything.
The only suggestion I make is to not just choose your C:\ drive, as it will also backup useless program files that can not be restored to functioning form (a waste of backup space).
Here is the IDP FAQ article:

Thanks for the information but that leads to another question. If I choose to backup other data (say data files for POS) does that mean that I'll need to choose the entire PC pricing plan ($9.95) for IDP or is that still considered part of the Quickbooks plan ($4.95)?
