creating a new budget
how do i create a new budget using the past 12 month's data (12.2008 - 12.2009)...NOT last year's data (2008)?

If you're going to create a budget from existing data, QB is going to look for how your fiscal year is set up in the Company Info. That's the only option I kinow of. If you're trying to do something different, like create What If scenarios, you'll need to export your budget list to Excel.
