Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Cost update

US QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions : 9.0: Standard

Is there a way to have QB update an inventory item's cost when a different cost is entered on a PO or estimate? I seem to remember a pop up window asking if you wanted to update cost in an earlier version.

The cost per item is adjusted automatically when your receive the items using a bill.  PO's and estimates are non posting transactions.
