Copy/Restore Options not working?

I'm trying to copy the Lacerte 2009 Options from one PC to several others. After restore, the options are not the same as on the original PC. Copy or Restore don't seem to work properly. Has anyone else run into this problem?

It has something to do with the Machine ID, and the number at the end of the file name.  Sorry to be so vague, but it's been a long time since I've had that problem.  I know exactly what you mean, though.  The fix is to edit the number at the end of the file name to match the number on the option file native to that machine.

Bill might have the exact steps handy, or it might be in the Support database, or if you call tech support, they can walk you through it.

Thanks, PhoebeRoberts. I can see that the machine id's are different on the three PC's. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything in the Knowledge Base that tells me how to change the machine id. I'll probably have to call support.

 No, you don't change the machine ID.  You change the suffix at the end of the option file name.

Thanks, Dave. I will look at the MachineNames tomorrow.

I probably should have said in my original description of the problem that we are not running the networked version of Lacerte. There are three stand-alone PC's. They are all on the same network, but Lacerte is stand-alone on each.
