I need to show proof that a bill was paid and also the notes in the memo line of that bill. Just a report showing the invoice paid that includes the details of the bill.

Go to Reports>Vendors & Payables>Transaction List by Vendor. Adjust your date range and go to 'modify report", the 'filter' tab. Scroll down the Choose FIlter list to "transaction type" and click. In the middle box you will now see 'transaction type' with a drop down list. Click and select 'bill payment' and or any other types of payments you want to include on your report. This report includes the memo field. I hope this helps.
