I am invoicing my Indian customer in Indian rupees (INR), but the comma placement in Quickbooks is unusual (xx,xx,xxx.xx) What is the correct comma placement for Indian rupees ?

The comma placement is the right one for INR. The Indian numbering system uses separators differently — after the first three digits(from the right hand side), a comma divides every two rather than every three digits, thus:
123,456,789 in Indian system will be 12,34,56,789.
