Closing Open Windows
I'm trying to create an accountant's file, but I now have four Open Windows - Quickbooks 1099 Wizard that I cannot get rid of. Any thoughts?

Have you tried Window menu > Close All?
Have you completed the wizard?
Close all does not do it. Is there a trick to completing the wizard?
Thanks -

Weird! No trick, other than, at some point, you are done. No Red X, no Close buttons?
I probably saved it one time, but cannot access it when I click on the Open Window.

I'm assuming you have the new multiple-page 1099 Wizard. There should be a "Cancel" button at the bottom right of the window. Is it possible that the bottom of the window is cut off, so you're not seeing that? Can you drag the window up higher or make the QuickBooks window larger to see if there's more window that you're not currently seeing? I've heard some users complain that the window is too large for their screen, so they can't see the entire window. So depending on your monitor resolution, that could be the problem. I think in that case the only way to see the entire window would be to temporarily increase your monitor resolution.
I've changed the rsolution so I can now see the entire window - no cancel button.
When I click on one of the Open Windows, nothing happens.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing, does the window you're seeing look like the one shown here?

Once you get passed the first page, there should be a "Save & Close" button as shown on the 2nd screenshot above. I also have a red "X" button at the top right to close the window.
If you see something different, perhaps posting a screenshot could help diagnose the problem.

I tested this, by clicking on the button, and on the top right X and ine time, I just went to about the third step, then used Window Menu > Close All and everything closed as you would expect.
If you have a backup of the file, then I would try just killing QB and reboot the computer.
