woneill1450, could u share with me how your clients set up a family as a customer along with their enrolled children, dates of births, enrollment dates. I've been using another program designed solely for day cares but I prefer QB for the financial part of it. I would like to use QB to store all info on the families and no longer use the other program. I appreciate anything u can share.

Take a look at the relation to Customers:Jobs
Use the last name as the customer and jobs for each childs name. You could either use a field in the Job information for the birth date or create a custom field. See the Additional Info tab and click on Define fields

I have a question about this. I am looking to do this same thing for my son's Mother's Morning Out program. The problem I'm running into is that there are some that are families with different payers (mother kept her maiden name, they are divorced, etc) and yet still need to track who paid what for tax purposes for that family. What would be the best way to set up the child (ren) in that case? I don't know whether to do each parent as a customer or each child.
