charitable contributions
Our church doesn't have customers, only donors. I understand you can track donations by listing them as customers; however, I don't know how to set up custom fields. Can you help?

Your donors pay you; that is the same as customer.
You don't typically need custom fields and you don't start there.
Start with the Help menu > Learning Center, take the video tutorials.
