The solution

Two major ways are #1 by the hour or #2 a flat rate. Start with your hourly rate basing your quote on the number of hours you estimate it will take. Once you hav a handle on the time you will spend, you can offer your clients a flat rate. Then the better you get, the more you'll make because you'll spend less time.

As for breaking it down - I charge the same no matter what the task. Your time and expertise is your "inventory" or product. Somone uses my time, it costs them the same even if they want to sit in my office and chat about their newest grandchild or diet plan.

Good Luck in your new venture!

Hope this helps! If so, please mark Solved or ask more questions. Thanks.
