When you make a change to an item, will it also change that item's past transactions or just the ones going forward?

Hi Kristin – I am an expert QuickBooks consultant having consulted with many QuickBooks clients for many years on complex issues.
If there are past transactions that use the item, QuickBooks will ask you if you want the change to affect all past transactions or whether you want the change to only affect transactions in the future. Just select the right option for you when editing the item.
