How do I change an employee who is classified as Full Time to Part Time? I checked the employee center and clicked on employee info to change but part time wasn't an option. Couldn't find a way to change it in preferences either. ASAP help please!
There is no "full time" or "part time" option in QB. You could set up a user field to track that designation, but it would have no effect on the calculation of gross payroll amounts.
If the part time employee is paid the same each pay period, then create a new compensation payroll item that is not Salary or Hourly. You could just call "Wages", and add it to the Employee Record with the amount for each pay period. If the amount paid is not constant, then just enter the amount at the time you create the paycheck.
