Change the on-screen font size

I want to change the onscreen font size. It is small and hard to read. I can change it in the customize form option but it still is the same size on screen. Thanks for you help!

I do not believe that there is a way to make ALL of the fonts larger. If you change your preferences on your PC you can make the menu bar information larger, but that won't effect the font with in QuickBooks.

I'm not a professional so don't take my word for it. Hopefully there is someone out there who knows a trick.

GOOD LUCK!

Here is way that worked for me:
Question: How do I change the fonts or font sizes displayed in QuickBooks?

Answer: This document explains how to change the on-screen font and, if you experience difficulties with the resulting display, how to change back to the QuickBooks' default font.

Warning: A bigger or different font may not work on your monitor.

On certain monitors, when you increase the screen font size, QuickBooks will not be able to display all forms and registers correctly. If, after following the procedure below, you find QuickBooks forms look strange or confusing, you will need to change your on-screen font back to its original size.

Note: If the [Fonts] section already exists add only the FontName and FontSize lines.

Changing the onscreen font:

Exit QuickBooks, if it is open.
From the Start menu, point to Programs, then point to Accessories, and then select Wordpad.
From the File menu, choose Open.
In the Files of type field, choose All Documents (*.*).
Find the drive and directory where your QuickBooks program is stored (usually C:QBOOKSW).
From the QuickBooks directory, select the QBW.INI file, and then click OK.
Scroll down to the end of the QBW.INI file.
Leave one line blank, and then type the following, using whatever font and size you want in place of Arial and 12.
Example:

[Fonts]
FontName=Arial
FontSize=12

From the File menu, select Save, and then choose Exit
Open QuickBooks to see whether the font and size you selected display correctly on your monitor.
Changing back to QuickBooks default screen font:

If you find that changing the screen font causes more problems with your display than it helps, change back to QuickBooks default font by closing QuickBooks, opening QBW.INI file in Windows Notepad as described above, and deleting the font information you added and re-save the file.

 I am using Quickbooks 2004 and I can't find the QBW.INI. file.  Quickbooks is in my Intuit  folder inside programs.   Could it be called something else.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

With Vista, the location of the qbw.ini file is:

c:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitQuickBooks 2008qbw.ini

Editing this file requires administrative privileges.
This location is independent of the location where QB is installed.

Cheers,

I have changed the Windows 7  resolution wihch helped a bit but not in Quickbooks.

One would think that Intuit would have given us the option to increase the QB Desktop

disappointing to say the least

 I took the advice that, "wms3" gave and it helped me.  I have a differnent version so it was a little hard to find but it did work for me.  I agree that quickbooks is blowing it by not offering that feature.
