How do you enter a carry forward Loss from a previous year before you used Simple Start?
Is their an instruction page to set up the Balance Sheet, Simple Start, for the enteries from the previous year that were not entered into Simple Start?
Select the Company option on the top menu bar, and then Make General Journal Entries.
You should now ensure that you have what is known as a Trial Balance report, which consists of three columns, Account description, Debit, and Credit (the last two columns consisting of amounts. You will note that the totals of Debits and Credits at the bottom will equal each other.
Then all you do is select the appropriate Quick Books account (creating new accounts if needed), and enter the appropriate amount in either the debit or credit column. Use one line of the journal dialog for each line in the trial balance report.
When all lines are entered, select Save & Close to save the journal.
