how do i link my bank account with quickbooks if i cant find any download buttons?

First make sure your bank participates. You can see a list of participating financial institutions by going to Banking: Online Banking: Participating Financial Institutions.
The list is alphabetical. Find your bank on the list. If they participate it will tell you how (i.e. webconnect or direct connect). Once you know this you can determine if you should be seeing a download button on the bank website.
