Just in..with a link to the PDF Diagnostic tool, that was created by PD and our support staff.
This tool will work on all versions of QuickBooks prior to QuickBooks 2011, and will work on all supported Windows OS.

I updated to R12 from R11 on Enterprise 2010 as i thought that would fix the problem, but I still cannot print, send emails or print to a pdf. All I can do is export to excel. The link for the diagnostic tool no longer works.
The given link is still dead in August 10, 2011. hellooooo, is anybody at Intuit in-to-it?
Under XP when I chose print forms I was offered the QB PDF converter as an option on the printers drop down list.
Under Windows 7 it does not appear on the list. I am offered a real printer and Microsoft XPS document writer and fax.

WHEN is QB going to come out with a new release that will fix the printer error/PDF/EMAIL situations with qb2010 premiere and a windows 64bit (and/or 32-either has had problems) for this situation????????????? I would think this would be a paramount situation to deal with.

try cutepdf.com. It took me a few seconds and I was able to print in PDF again.
Thanks for the cutepdf.com suggestion!! It was quick to download the setup files and install. Best part... I'm no longer locked into using QB PDF printing and it's problems.

I'm sorry you've been experiencing such a frustrating issue with e-mailing and billing to customers.
I just wanted to let you know that I experienced this issue with my own version of 2010 on Win 7 64 bit. Renaming the .dll file is what fixed this for me. These steps are listed in the article ending in 898690.

I think it is only available to Intuit employees. When searching for the KB article I found an issue created by some who is also looking for the article. LOL
Unbelievable.
I too have been losing time and patience with the printing issues with Windows 7 and QuickBooks Premier Accountant Edition 2010. I will try the above since it is different from the first one I used last week to fix the issue temporarily. But this is a horrible way to work! I may have to go back to my Vista system but it is a 64 bit program as well, so this issue needs to get resolved! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many of the issues with QuickBooks 2010 and the PDF converter have been addressed with the newly released R6 patch. For now its just manual, but you can download it here:

I installed the update and it didn't fix the issue. I ran the PDF Diagnostic tool 5 times with different combinations and it didn't fix the problem either.
I am using QB premier 2008 with Vista, just started having a problem printing purchase order a few days ago...can print other reports and checks, but not PO's, does it have something to do with a recent update? If so, can I undo the udpate?

All of your answers appear to relate to QB 2009 and 2010. I'm running QB Pro 2008 and until the update patch that I installed today everything was printing and emailing OK. Now I can't Print Preview, Email or Print. I'm running Windows 7 Premium, but as I said, it was all working prior to today's patch?

The PDF converter was working with my version of QB (2010 Premier Professional Services) and Win 7. I had installed a patch earlier when I installed Win 7 last October when I was using QB 2009 Premier Pro Svcs. I ipgraded to 2010 earlier this year, and I did not have any issues with the PDF converter.
When I installed R6, he PDF Converter stopped working again (Error code - 30). All the suggested troubleshooting steps in "Help" did not fix the problem. I cannot bill clients without it.
Please help. The clock is ticking on April billing!

Amy, your R6 is the problem for those of us using XP. This is what I did to fix my broken PDF printer:
I deleted QB PDF Converter 3, uninstalled and reinstalled QB 2010, and updated QB manually to R5. This installed PDF Converters 2 and 3 and appears to have fixed the problem. No more automatic updates for me!

If I am forced to uninstall QB again I WILL NOT REINSTALL. I am tired of fixing problems with QB by uninstall/reinstall
