Can't Change report margins on QB 2010.

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2010

On 2010 QB - The page set-up is missing from the FILE menu on 2010. It was ever present on 2009. My bank reconciliation report is cutting off the last digit and I can not find a way to change margins on this report. Can anyone help with this?

While you can adjust margins for other reports in the print dialog, you cannot do that for the reconciliation report. However, you can (in the print dialog) change the page orientation (I suggest Landscape), choose the correct printer (important), and scale the page smaller—which is often a good idea for the reconciliation report.

This new version of QB for Mac follows Apple's more-modern printing setup requirements, so File: Print Setup is gone.

No that did not work at all for me.  I now save the reconciliation as a PDF.  I then print the PDF and ask it to fit printable area.  Perfect.

But I have to say that moving on to QB10 has been a mistake.  It has always crashed a lot for no reason and this Bank Rec situation is ridiculous.

As a person who has used Quickbooks for many years and have always recommended it I am extremely disappointed to say the least.

Too much time wasting for sure.

 Hi

Just a thought, try making the recon window itself bigger, grab the right lower corner and move it to enlarge the window.

Debi,  Thanks very much.  That solution worked.  I was using landscape but changed the scale to 65%.  Unfortunate that this was the largest % that would work because the report is difficult to read at 65%.  Why on each Intuit made this change is beyond me.  I will surely send a suggestion on this one.   Thanks again.

Apple made the change -  look at Mail, Safari, etc.   Its part of their new interface guidelines.

I understand your frustration because I have the same issue.

I have two clients for whom I use QuickBooks 2010.

Client 1 uses a QuickBooks Data file started in earlier versions of QuickBooks and then eventually upgraded to 2010.  Their Reconciliation Reports print out perfectly.

Client 2 uses a QuickBooks file that I believe I started using QuickBooks 2010 and this is the Client I am having the same issue(s) with.

I know this doesn't solve the issue but thought I would add my input.

As I said earlier I now save it as a pdf and when printing ask to fit to sheet it is coming out perfectly now.  However that does not say I forgive Intuit for this nonsense.

laceysjam, thank you for this tip. I have 2 separate companies that I work with in the same program. One company, so far-2 months-prints perfect. The other company I just used your tip to finally print my June 2011 reconciliation, as I am getting ready to reconcile July!

Also, why should I be charged to call Intuit if this is their problem?????

Very aggravating that the QB for Mac 2011 has this "glitch"
