Cannot run Quickbooks 2005 (error message)

I have installed it successfully (finally) but get this message when I try and run the program. Please help! Thank you!Quickbooks has experienced a problem and must be shut down. What system were (did) you install it on? Win XP? Hope not Vista. It won't ever run on Vista.

I had the same problem with quickbooks 2005.
My OS (xp pro) had a partial crash.
Upon recovery I get quickbooks error 16147 68327.
I tried the web update with no luck.
If you found an answer let me know.

Hello KathyJeans,


Welcome to the community forums. One thing that I notice with your error log is that all the missing files are .dll files. I would suggest running Reboot.bat which re-registers the QuickBooks .dll files.


Do a search on your computer for reboot.bat (there is a seperate one for each version) and run the reboot.bat that corresponds to version of QuickBooks you are having a problem with.

I too am having the issue with the drivers not loading. The software seems to work when I locate and launch the Reboot.bat file, but I have to do this process each time I want to start Quickbooks. How do I get the drivers to load at startup like they should?
