I think the estimating feature would work fine for preparing quotes, invoicing would be standard (you can turn the quotes into invoices, eliminating double work); however if you are looking to use QB as a reservation system, I don't think it would serve your purpose.
Proper set up and training is the key, if this is your first time using the software, I suggest taking an online course, or Intuit offers a "learning QuickBooks" product.
