can not open the company

QuickBooks Point of Sale : Pro 10.0

When starting pos I am getting stuck on the screen OPEN THE COMPANY.

cHOOSING NEXT GETS ME BACK TO THE SAME SCREEN

Are on a POS Server (main) workstation or Client workstation?

If on a Server, try making a New test company then changing back to your real company under File>Company Operations.
