We run 2 businesses at the same location on QB Pro 2009. We have paid for a payroll subscription under one of the companies. Can't I use the same payroll subscription for the 2nd company at the same location?
No--I'm pretty sure you're supposed to have a payroll subscription for each EIN unless you're using Enhanced Payroll for Accountants (which allows you up to 50 EINs).

I was researching QB payroll on the Intuit site and found this answer:
Q: How many EINs can I have on a single subscription?
A: You may manage up to three EINs on a single Basic Payroll subscription at no additional charge
