Hello,

No, you would use the calculator supplied in your OS. QBOE runs in a browser, it is not a machined program. Intuit would have to build a widget into one of the pages and you would only be able to use it if you were on that page.

Regards,
Ozzy

Thanks, I finally got to talk to a rep. She was surprised no one had ever asked before that she could find. Only the online version doesn't have it . The problem I was having when I tried to open the OS calculator QB would give me the message that if I moved away from the page my work would be lost & sure enough, the page closed! She couldn't explain that.

The real problem is each browser has its own quirks & they can't work around them all.

Hi again,

Most of the Operating Systems have a storage tray where you can put icons that you use regularly. Simply copy the calculator icon down to that tray and when you need the calculator, all you have to do is click the icon in the tray and it will open without affecting the browser.

Regards,
Ozzy

i use a Mac so the Calculator program is separate in the Dock; Intuit couldn't figure out why this happened. Tried it in Chrome & the same thing too.

thanks, again...

One of the reasons I really like working with the Intuit techs is they really problem solve with you. I should have mentioned it did the same in Firefox also. It's just a fluke.

I'm a retired principal. When we went computerized for attendance, grades, well, everything, my teachers were in a panic! I told them to remember that computers were the 2nd stupidest machines in the world; it helped, especially when one of them asked me what the stupidest was. I told them, "a toaster! It can only do one thing!" they got it.

Thanks again. I've enjoyed our exchange. Have a great weekend...
