Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Building a new company?

US QuickBooks Premier

I will be setting up a new company for someone using premier 2012.  While I wait for the software to arrive can I make a chart of accounts and memorize transactions, item lists ect.  on my verison of premier 2011 and transfer everything via a flash drive?

The solution

You can create a new file and work in QB 2011, then update it to the new program. They will have a lot of new functions you don't have, too.
