Blake313 - I see sharon is responding to you on another post, but here are some of the reasons the budget won't print or display correctly:
I checked the dates and all is right. 2012 is the budget year and that is the year that everything is entered. They still do not print
I did not convert from Windows.
I will try the rebuild. I hope I dont lose everything.
Drat - I hoped that might help. One more thing to try would be to resort your Chart of Accounts - with the CofA open, uncheck Enable Custom Ordering from the gear menu at the bottom, and then choose Resort List from the Chart of Accounts.
Otherswise, I've probably reached the limits of what I can do to help solve this in the forum setting. You probably need to talk to someone who can actually look at your file. I know that there have been other reports of Budgets not working properly in QB for Mac 2012, (see this posting) so I'd encourage you to report this as a bug using the Feedback link under the QB menu. Sometimes that will cause the development team to reach out to you to look at your file.
You could try contacting Intuit Support, although I'd make sure to be very insistent that you want to speak to QB for Mac support. You could also try to find a ProAdvisor in your area who works with Macs. Use the FInd a Local Expert link under the Help menu. Most of the experienced ones of us have direct access to upper tiers of support -look for someone with Advanced Certification.
Out of curiousity - are you on a fiscal or calendar year?
I have found that you have to have a least something (even zero) entered in the budget for the first month of the fiscal year (as determined by your preferences) for which you are budgeting.
Your mileage may vary.
